Welcome to my website! I am a Canadian born artist and illustrator living in the Interior of British Columbia. I have been painting and drawing for many years, continually learning and trying new things.
I derive a great deal of inspiration from the First Nations culture of the community I live in, as well as the diversity of humanity on our planet.
I have used a variety of mediums and surfaces over time, including oils, watercolors, colored pencils, and pastels. My medium of choice for a number of years has been acrylics on canvas. I have had some instruction many years ago, but I am primarily self-taught.
I love to incorporate a spiritual essence in many of my paintings. It is a challenge I just love, because with the whisper of images on the canvas, the story of the painting unfolds even while it is being created.
I am passionate about painting wildlife, so intrigued by their beauty and characteristics. As well as painting wildlife simply for the love of it, portraying an animal in a painting as a vehicle to express and encourage emotion and feeling is often the focus of my intention.
